Youth-Led Climate Action: An Interfaith Conversation
Our Interfaith Conversations series continued on June 8 with Youth-Led Climate Action: An Interfaith Conversation. Our honoured youth leaders were Aleyxa Gates Julien, Moriyah Kleiman and Nazish Qureshi. We listened to them share how climate change is affecting their lives and how their faith is inspiring their efforts to find solutions. You can view the recording here.
Greening Sacred Spaces — Ottawa
GSS Ottawa’s Energy Benchmarking Program (EBP) wrapped up and they have compiled case studies, telling the stories of 10 diverse faith communities that participated in the program from 2019-2022. A free program to help faith communities take practical and cost-effective climate action by raising awareness and understanding their buildings' energy use and emissions, the EBP used the Energy Star Portfolio Manager (ESPM), an energy management tool, to display energy costs and usage. ESPM shows a baseline energy use and identifies areas for improvement over a 3 year period. Every year, participants of the Ottawa EBP received an annual report detailing their energy consumption and changes over time. Click here to read more.

Invest in us: Donate today
For over 21 years, FCG has been working to provide opportunities for interfaith, spirited, environmental and climate action. We are unique in that we are the only interfaith environmental organization across Canada to do so. To this end, we offer programs, projects, networking and community engagement opportunities and many, many free tools and resources. But our resources are badly in need of a rehaul!
When you donate, your gift will be used toward updating our resources to enhance inclusivity and reflect diverse languages, as well as for creating new ones via multiple platforms (visual and audio). Together, you will be helping us reach even more faith-group audiences, for even greater spirited climate action.
