Join us on Monday September 18th at the Jaffari Community Centre to learn from Ontario’s Environmental Commissioner, Dr. Dianne Saxe, about why it is so essential that faith communities step up to respond to the climate crisis.
Get motivated by listening to inspiring local examples of faith based climate action around waste management (Jaffari Community Centre), energy efficiency (Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Thornhill), and sustainable food systems (Shoresh Jewish Environmental Programs). Expand your network of neighbours, faith groups, municipal leaders, and community organizations who are working for a greener, healthier Toronto-York region.
The Jaffari Community Centre is regarded as a place of worship and we request our guests to wear modest clothing, with shoulders and knees covered. Women are requested to cover their hair. Headscarves will be provided if needed.
