Great Canadian Giving Challenge. Fundraiser. Greening Sacred Spaces. Resource Updates.

It’s week 4 of CanadaHelps’ month-long Great Canadian Giving Challenge where we invite our community to invest in us by donating to our campaign, Spirited Climate Action, and help us win $20,000. The more gifts we receive, the more likely we are to win the prize. With the dollars raised, we will be able to update our many resources and create new ones that engage the bounty and diversity of our network, expand our reach, and increase faith-based climate action in communities across Canada.

A quick look at our website and you will find that we have many programs and resources that support these programs. Greening Sacred Spaces (GSS) is one such program since 2003. It is our oldest, best known program. 

A practical program, GSS assists faith communities with both the educational and spiritual dimensions of greening as well as the “how to” side of audits, retrofits, and generally reducing a faith community’s carbon footprint.

Over the years, we have had GSS chapters across the country. Currently, our GSS chapters are Ottawa, Halton-Peel and London.

Our network loves our resources, but we all agree, they need refreshing!
