Climate Justice Action Now!

Working together to build a more sustainable Canada.

Dear Friend,

Did you take time this summer to unplug? To be with loved ones? To rejuvenate yourself for the work ahead? I certainly did and I noticed many others in our field did as well. This is important in order for us to effectively respond to the climate crisis and remain healthy in the process.

Climate-related disasters are happening on a daily basis. We are inundated with images from wildfires in BC, flooding in Pakistan, droughts in Africa, and more. Those who are the least responsible for the crisis are suffering the impacts the most. Although it can be overwhelming, faith communities in Canada and around the world are becoming more engaged in responding to the crisis as we align our actions with our belief systems. At an individual level, we each have a role to play. What is your role? What actions are you taking? How will you make an impact?

To quote the prophet Muhammad – peace and blessings be upon him – “Even if the hour of the judgment is upon you and one of you has a sampling in his hand, then he should plant it.”

Read on and join our FCG network this fall in being a part of a growing world-wide climate justice movement.

In gratitude...
