The GCCM Canada Catholic Eco-Investment Accelerator project is looking for two creative, engaging and environmentally minded interns to join our team from June to Sept., 2021.
Position Title: Eco-Investment Accelerator Toolkit Internship – Research and Writing Intern
Organization: GCCM – Canada, a project of Faith & the Common Good
Location: Virtual
Period of Part-time Internship: June – September, 2021, to start immediately
Renumeration: $1,500.00
Faith & the Common Good (FCG) is a national, interfaith charitable network dedicated to supporting diverse faith and spiritual communities contribute to greener, healthier, more resilient neighbourhoods. The Global Catholic Climate Movement – Canada chapter (GCCM Canada), is a program of FCG works for the advancement of values expressed by Pope Francis in the encyclical, Laudato Si’: on care for our common home. GCCM Canada is initiating the Catholic Eco-Investment Accelerator, one year undertaking to encourage Catholic institutions, organizations and Bishops to follow Pope Francis call for a shift to an Ecological Economy.

The GCCM Canada Catholic Eco-Investment Accelerator project is looking for two creative, engaged, and environmentally minded interns to join our team from June to Sept., 2021.
Responsibilities:
Working with the Coordinator of GCCM Canada and a Usability Specialist, Interns’ duties will include but are not limited to:
- Research and develop three user personas for the Catholic Eco-Investment Accelerator Toolkit; religious communities, Bishops and Executives of post-secondary institutions
- Assist with task analysis and goal setting
- Research website requirements to deliver a clear and user-friendly virtual toolkit
- Conduct and evaluate a content inventory
- Assist with development of a prototype toolkit
- Plan for toolkit launch in September 2021
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education with preference for Christian social teaching or environmental action;
- Excellent analytical skills;
- Experience with online engagement;
- Excellent written communications;
- Knowledge of website design concepts an asset;
- Familiarity with Encyclical, Laudato Si’: On Care of Our Common Home an asset.
