GSS London launch party and celebration of the Fall Equinox with Tracey Whiteye, Oshkaabewis Kwe, a woman helper or messenger in Objibewe in Victoria Park - Bandshell.
WHY
- to connect all Londoners and future generations to the land that belongs to the Creator
- to launch Greening Sacred Spaces chapter in London, sponsored by Climate Action London
- to support and advance the City of London’s Climate Emergency Action Plan
WHO
Our celebration will be led M. Tracey Whiteye, Oshkaabewis Kwe, which means a woman helper or messenger in Objibwe language. Tracey is a wholistic practitioner, researcher and educator.
WHAT
Tracey will honour mother earth and future generations with story-telling, songs and prayers.
The water ceremony will honour the four directions around the sacred fire.
Sacred bundles and other indigenous women who are Berry Fasters, will be present.
Starting and ending in front of the bandshell and we will walk around Victoria Park.
We will also announce the Greening Sacred Spaces initiative; and
Announce our Fall Equinox call for submissions for 2 x $500 Climate Action London grants, which address London's Climate Emergency Action Plan and aligns with local Sustainable Development Goals.
